The Gathering
Room is a quilt shop located in Historic Downtown LaGrange, KY. The building we call home was built in 1880's and
is registered with the Historical Society. We have over 1400 square feet for our fabric, classroom, patterns, books
and notions. Our town is known for it's railroad tracks going down Main Street.
We specialze in Civil War Reproduction Fabrics from Windham, Marcus Brothers,
Andover and Moda. An entire room is devoted to these fabrics and patterns. Come take a walk back through history
with us....
We also carry a large selection of 30's Reproduction Fabrics.
Traditional quilting fabrics including homespuns, flannels,warm
color tones and complete lines of fabric are also offered at The Gathering Room Quilt Shoppe. Some lines include fabrics
from Moda, Benertex, Windham, Marcus Brothers, Red Rooster, Thimbleberries and RJR to name a few.
New fabric is
arriving on a continual basis. Stop in and see what is new.
A Note From Michelle...... What
a CRAZY Winter!!! Or should I say SPRINGTER??? We are suppose to get into the 60's this week and it's still February!!!!
Can't knock it I guess....but I will remain a lover of snow, hot chocolate and a toasty fire in the fireplace.... We have been busy as bees at the shop. The General's Wives' BOM quilt is
hanging in the classroom. If you haven't seen it stop in because it is beautiful. Thanks to Jeanette Lone for
piecing it.... the fabrics are gorgeous!!! I will have ONE complete kit for this quilt when the BOM is over in Sept.
2012 so call if you want your name on it! ONLY ONE KIT! Karla is busy piecing the newest BOM, Amish with a Twist,
which will begin in March. We have ONE spot left in this BOM so call to reserve it for yourself! There will not
be any more add ons. Talk about striking! This quilt is a keeper for sure!!!! I am sooo excited I can BARELY stand it....United Notions/Moda is now carrying our patterns along
with Checker Distributors!!!!!!! New Twister patterns are nearly ready....Twisted Farm...a barn, tree, sun and pick-up
truck for a little boys quilt, Twisted Garden....Twisted Stars...and Twisted Baby Logs. We will introduce them at Quilter's
Day Out this year so come join us!!! March 17 from 10am-3pm at the Ramada Inn Converence Center on Hurstbourne Lane, Louisville.

arriving! We just recieved Bridgeport by Jo Morton, 1862 National Anthem by Barbara Brackman, Movers and Shakers
by Blank Quilting and Emergency 911 by Northcott. Along with all that we also got in a couple bolts of my grandson's
favorite TV show --- YoGabba Gabba! Yes he and his sister will be getting pillow cases made by Grandma!!!! Time to get moving and put fabric on the shelves! Don't forget to stop in and say
hello while you are busy getting ready to do yard work!!!! (I think quilting sounds a WHOLE lot more fun!!!) HAPPY QUILTING!
