The Gathering
Room is a quilt shop located in Historic Downtown LaGrange, KY. The building we call home was built in 1880's and
is registered with the Historical Society. We have over 1400 square feet for our fabric, classroom, patterns, books
and notions. Our town is known for it's railroad tracks going down Main Street.
We specialze in Civil War Reproduction Fabrics from Windham, Marcus Brothers,
Andover and Moda. An entire room is devoted to these fabrics and patterns. Come take a walk back through history
with us....
We also carry a large selection of 30's Reproduction Fabrics.
Traditional quilting fabrics including homespuns, flannels,warm
color tones and complete lines of fabric are also offered at The Gathering Room Quilt Shoppe. Some lines include fabrics
from Moda, Benertex, Windham, Marcus Brothers, Red Rooster, Thimbleberries and RJR to name a few.
New fabric is
arriving on a continual basis. Stop in and see what is new.
A Note From Michelle...... Hello Everyone! Can you believe
it...July is nearly half over!!! Time flies.....On July 15 Karla and I will be heading to Virginia Beach, VA to personally
deliver over 100 Twister* quilts to the Hopes and Dreams Quilt Challenge for ALS!!! I am so excited that we reached
our goal and then some! We also have gotten $360 from the sale of left over fabrics that will be added to our contribution.
Thank you EVERYONE for all you help, support and understanding (when I nearly had a meltdown..). I couldn't have
done it without you!!! Cheers to all of you!!!!! I'm thinking a Chocolate Fountain party is in the NEAR future.. The Jingle Bell Hop ended this evening....it is an understatement to
say that I am pooped! But it was a great hop and we got to see so many old friends as well as new ones! Hopefully
we inspired you all to get a jump on those holiday projects. Winners of the prizes will be posted soon! The new Newsletter has been posted and do we have some great projects
in store for you. Our first "Mystery Monday" is in October...a chance to do a great mystery FALL quilt.
A technique using Quilt Smart to make a Hunter's Star baby quilt, a Twister* class, a new series for "Beginners and Beyond"
along with Julie Lambert teaching her machine quilting classes are just a few of the great classes we have coming up during
the next quarter. Fabric Fabric Fabric!!!
New batiks, Christmas fabric, Paula Barne's entire new Civil War line by Marcus Brothers, Fresh Cotton by Fig Tree and
Lizzie by Windham just to name a few of the new lines we have received. Be sure to stop in, bring a show and tell
