Fall is just around the corner…we have been super busy getting ready for our upcoming class schedule. We have a lot of new and exciting classes to offer along with our clubs and Wimpy All-Niters. Lots of Christmas fabrics have already arrived; samples are up and kits are made. ‘Tis the season at The Gathering Room. The Jingle Bell Hop is July 9th and 10th, shop hours will be 9am-7pm both days so be sure to pick up your passport before the Hop starts. Our kit is really cute this year and will be available to Hoppers at a discounted price! Pour a glass of lemonade, put your feet up and read about all the exciting things coming up at The Gathering Room Quilt Shop….. AUGUST EVENTS Aug. 3 10am-2pm JO’S LITTLE WOMEN This is the beginning of club #9. We do have openings so give us a call to find out more about what Jo’s club is all about. Aug. 10 10am-2pm STASH POT PIE This club is to help use up your current stash. We have chosen the book, “Leaders and Enders” and will be making quilts from this book. There are a few openings. Cost is $7.00 per month/6month commitment. Aug. 10 6-9pm VIRGIN STRIPPERS This club meets once a month to create new and exciting quilt patterns. A four-month commitment is required. We choose the pattern and you pick the fabrics. Our first quilt is a Holiday Row quilt. A couple seats are still available for this club. Aug. 13 6-12pm WIMPY ALL-NITER -- this club is currently full Aug. 17 6pm-9pm ORIGINAL STRIPPERS This club is currently full but does have occasional openings so give us a call. Aug. 24 10am-4pm POWER OF TEN Bring in a list of your unfinished quilt projects and we will help you organize them and work on getting them finished! Seats are available so call soon to reserve one. There are endless possibilities with this unique technique. Class size is LIMITED to six students so reserve a seat soon! This is a great class to start your quilting journey or refresh your sewing skills. Sept. 14 10am-2pm DAYTIME STASH POT PIE Sept. 14 6-9pm VIRGIN STRIPPERS Month 2 Sept. 15, 22 & 29 BEYOND BEGINNERS Instructor: Karla Hein 10:30am-2pm Cost: $35.00 plus supplies Once you finish this quilt you will be able to do just about any quilting pattern. This is a great “next step” after our beginner class or a great refresher class of more basic techniques. Sept. 16 1-4pm TWISTER CLASS Instructor: Michelle Klein Cost: $15.00 plus ruler You can’t just make one! This technique is fun and easy but makes a very intricate looking quilt. Lots of ideas will be shared for this ruler.
